Senior Electrical Engineer – 7+ Years Experience (Hybrid, Alexandria, VA)
Seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with 7+ years of experience to lead and mentor project teams in the design and delivery of electrical systems for large-scale building projects. Projects span sectors including commercial, academic, lab, mission critical, and healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate electrical design with multidisciplinary teams
- Design power distribution, lighting systems, controls, and emergency systems (generators, ATS, inverters)
- Perform load and voltage drop calculations, lighting analyses, and short circuit/coordination studies using SKM
- Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client specifications
- Create technical documentation and specifications
- Guide junior staff and support business development efforts
Requirements:
- 7–10+ years of relevant electrical design experience
- Strong background in commercial, healthcare, or institutional buildings
- Proven leadership and client-facing abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related)
- PE license preferred and EIT is a must
- Revit/BIM experience helpful
- LEED accreditation a plus
Hybrid schedule available (up to 2 remote days/week). Strong focus on sustainability, mentorship, and long-term growth.
