About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer / Designer for a nationally recognized MEP consulting firm. This fully remote position is ideal for a professional with experience in lighting design, electrical distribution systems, and project management, who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will manage client relationships, mentor junior staff, and oversee a broad range of commercial and mixed-use building projects. This position has clear growth potential, with a path to leadership roles in the near future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design lighting and electrical distribution systems for new construction and renovation projects.
- Work on fire alarm and standby generator systems.
- Produce working drawings, wiring diagrams, and connection specifications.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure effective coordination with mechanical and plumbing systems.
- Handle construction administration tasks such as RFIs, submittals, and field reports.
- Mentor and train junior engineers and designers.
- Ensure code compliance and assist with field coordination.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain client relationships.
Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 7+ years of experience in electrical design and project management.
- Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit experience is a plus.
- EIT required; PE license preferred.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
- Experience with COMcheck, REScheck, FlaCom, Visual, AGi32, and SKM Power Tools.
